Mozart Effect May Make Your Child Smarter
April 23rd, 2008 by Pat Wyman
Want your child to have a smarter brain? Scientists from around the word are now saying that listening to some music dubbed The Mozart Effect may just do the trick, and can raise your visual and spatial I.Q. to boot.
I recently read an article on the Society For Neuroscience website that reveals why Mozart, and not other music has the ability to help you focus, and why those music lessons your child may not be thrilled about, can actually gave kids a leg up in subjects like math and science.
Researchers at UC Irvine and UCLA now say that there’s a molecular basis for The Mozart Effect’s benefits in your brain. It can actually hardwire in those gains at the same time.
Whenever I write or need to concentrate and really learn something, I play Mozart’s Volume 4, Focus and Clarity. The music fades into the background, and I focus longer. Memory gets better too.
Just think about this for a sec: How do people behave when they hear classical music? How do the generally act when they hear loud, low bass, hip hop or rap? Have you ever wondered why there may be a difference? So have I, and it all lies in the brain and body.
FYI, check your heart and pulse rate when you listen to different types of music. My son won the school science fair doing just that. Check out Mozart Effect for more… and find out exactly why music can make your child smarter…

Thank you for this information on the Mozart Effect. As a businessman, health and wellness expert, I can tell you for certain that listening to Mozart every day increases my energy and helps me focus longer.
The result - I get a lot more done.
Can’t wait to hear more of your learning discoveries and I encourage every parent to have their kids listen to this music as they do their schoolwork.

I have recently started to play Mozart in my lobby just to add new music for children and parents to listen to. Now, I will be interested to see if we notice any of the positive benefits you discuss in this article.
